Q: What motivates you to play music?
A: “To me, music is such a unique form of self-expression that allows for individuals to reveal thoughts and aspects of themselves otherwise impossible through words. As a quite reserved individual myself, I feel more comfortable and more confident expressing myself through music rather than through speech. ”
Q: Do you have any advice for other high school music students?
A: “I would say to definitely push yourself if music is something you enjoy. The amount of learning opportunities that come with being in various groups or simply playing challenging pieces.”
