Chick-Fil-A has been one of the most popular fast food places across the globe according to the website ColdWire.com, and while chicken sandwiches are their speciality, the sauce is no less in caliber. 

The special sauce is sweet and has a little kick in it, making it the ultimate sauce sweet tooths. The sauce is so popular that it has been sold by large retailers such as Amazon, Target, Walmart and even eBay.

Believe it or not, the sauce was created by accident. That’s right, according to the Chick-Fil-A website, back in 1980 in a small town in Virginia, a employee accidentally mixed barbecue sauce and honey mustard. From there, the owner and operator Hugh Fleming created then world class recipe of Chick-Fil-A sauce as we know it today.

On the Chick-Fil-A website, Fleming said “I had a honey mustard dressing recipe I knew, so, I went back and made that. I was just grabbing for an idea, … those employees loved it and kept coming back. So we made it for them, and then other customers started asking for it. That was the birth of the Chick-Fil-A sauce right there.”

“I think the sauce has honey mustard, barbecue and ranch,” said freshman Charlie Brown, when asked about what he believes is in the delicious sauce.

While the ingredients in the sauce seem complex and secretive, in reality, the sauce is only a mixture of three different sauces; honey mustard, barbecue sauce and ranch. The game changer is the egg yolk, which makes the sauce sweet and flavorful.

“I feel like the sauce is sweet but mixed with a little of a kick to it which makes it lightly bitter but it comes out to be a perfect mixture of ingredients,” junior Arden Ogut said.

The mouthwatering sauce combined with an entree of a regular or deluxe chicken sandwich or crispy nuggets gives it the power packed combination in all of the sauces at fast food restaurants.

Chick-Fil-A has the best sauce not only due to the taste, but also the abundance of the sauce and the willingness of the workers to give as many as a customer wants. Customers have been to many fast food restaurants, and a lot of times they have been denied sauces or been told they can only have a certain amount. As they go home to enjoy my meal, they run out of sauces and have nothing to finish their delicious meal with.

As legendary NFL coach Bill Parcells said, “Availability is the best ability.” The more sauces a customer receives at a fast food restaurant, the more happy he is with their service. Chick-Fil-A does an amazing job with their customer service and giving out as many sauces as their customers want. This is what makes them great.
