The Woodbridge High community expresses gratitude in the spirit of November, which is also National Gratitude Month.
Shrinidhi Sriram
Senior Shrinidhi Sriram is most grateful for her family and their support. “They’re my backbone and they tell me not to worry about anything and they’re proud of me no matter what. That affirmation really comes a long way even when I’m happy, they’re my biggest supporters,” Sriram said.
Kathryn Rush
“The first thing comes to mind are the people around me. I feel like that’s important and having the support of the people around me. Whether that be like my students if I’m not having a good day or like my friends and family,” math teacher Kathryn Rush said. She is also grateful to her mom, whom she talks to a few times a week or when she is driving.
Claire Ahn
Junior Claire Ahn is grateful for many things. “I’m grateful for my family and friends… and also just being able to have things I can have in life like… good health and good education,” Ahn said. She also describes how she is grateful for her support system and how her sister is a big part of it. “I have people that I can go to that I know will have my back no matter what,” Ahn said.
Shan Wu
English teacher Shan Wu is grateful for the small things that generally go unnoticed. “I’m grateful for the small things each day, learning new things, just being continually inquisitive and curious, and that the world is so expansive that there’s so many things to continue appreciating in the small things,” Wu said. Specifically, he is grateful for his family, Advanced Placement English Language (AP Lang) students wanting to do well and the AP Lang staff team because they are always supportive.
