“The staff at Woodbridge is more like family, so [I have a] real good close connection with them and with the parents in the softball community as well…Because I’m a woman in a female sport that has played the sport, I can relate to the girls differently than some of the other male coaches or coaches that haven’t played the sport before…[I’m always] trying to bring out the potential from the kids that I know that they have or making them believe that they have the potential.
