Rain, rain don’t go away

In light of my extreme frustration due to the fact that rain comes and goes in California so frequently because of this state’s bipolar weather, I have been listening to a lot of older songs about rain that bring back many memories.

One of my favorite songs to listen to when it’s raining is “November Rain” by Guns N’ Roses. I could listen to this song on any regular day and still be entertained by it, but for some reason on rainy days it becomes especially enjoyable to listen to.

And of course, I could never go through a whole day of rainy weather without listening to “Here Comes the Rain Again” by Eurythmics. Something about these songs amplifies the pure joy that I feel when I wake up to a cold morning and see a dark sky full of gray clouds.

I could continue to list my entire rainy day playlist, but that could take days. Just know that while you are reading this right now, I’m probably listening to these songs and dreaming of April showers that involve a lot more rainy days than this winter has so far.

Sincerely,

Disha Palimar
