The thrill of watching documentaries

One of my favorite things to do in my free time, especially if I am sad and want to distract myself, is to watch documentaries. I think documentaries are one of the most unique and enjoyable forms of film because they offer you insight about people, places, history, social commentary and more in an extremely creative and thought-provoking way.

Documentaries have the power to move people and change the way that they perceive the world, which is why I love them so much. The genres of these films that I enjoy watching most include documentaries about crime, social and political movements, controversial events involving social justice and biographical stories of people I find interesting.

The most recent documentary that I watched was called “The House I Live In,” and it was about the war on drugs in America and how it has negatively impacted minority communities. It was extremely interesting and emotionally impactful, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to watch something inspiring.
