Makeup is something that should be considered a form of art by more people in today’s society. From my own personal experience, I know that creating perfectly winged eyeliner or understanding how to contour is not as easy as it looks.

The human face is an extremely versatile canvas because there is so much that you can do with it, and I do not think that makeup artists are given enough credit for the work they do. This is why I love to watch makeup tutorials when I am bored. There are so many different cosmetic products that exist for all kinds of purposes, and I am in awe of people who are able to use them to create a beautiful or unique-looking face. Learning about different eyeshadow looks and special effects makeup is especially interesting to me. People think that doing makeup is a hobby that superficial or materialistic people take up, but I  think that you have to possess respectable artistic talent to be able to do makeup well. The art of cosmetics is a skill that definitely needs to be more universally appreciated.
