Go with the flow

As a soon-to-be college student without a clear vision of what I want to do with my life, I am not as nervous about going out into the world as I should be. I constantly struggle with finding an answer when an adult asks me, “What do you want to do?” which usually translates to “How are you going to be an adult and acquire a steady job that generates income?” Although this question brings up a valid point that should get me started on a long description about my future goals and 10-year plans, it just doesn’t.

It’s not that I’m not driven or focused, but rather that I have always had the mindset that things will just fall into place. Naive? Yes. But, somehow this method has always worked better for me than attempting to plan out every step of my life.

As the most indecisive human being on the planet, being asked to choose a college major to stick with seems like the most daunting task out there. Similar to my past ways, my college plans involve diving into many activities, joining clubs and exploring new areas that interest me, and hopefully I will end up in the right place at the right time. Basically, I have big plans; I just don’t know what they are yet. But trust me; they will be great.

Godspeed,
