Finals prep guide
Use your time wisely and do not procrastinate:
Procrastination can lead to last minute cramming. This leads to lack of sleep, which can lead to poor test results. According to AP psychology teacher James Leckey, students will be able to remember the lessons better if they study in constant intervals of time. You can avoid procrastination by planning ahead and using your time wisely.
Organize your materials:
Make a study guide, flashcards or other tools that will help you study.
Create a study plan:
Make sure you have a plan in your mind before studying. Break up the subjects and the materials into different days to avoid studying everything on the same day.
Execute your plan:
There is no point in making a plan if you do not follow it. By carefully executing the plan you made, you will be able to reach your goal.
Study in groups:
By studying with friends, you can help each other by asking/answering questions.
Eat healthy food:
Eating healthy food and maintaining your nutrition levels will help relieve your stress. Some examples of healthy food include energy bars, tea, nuts and dark chocolates.
Relax and get enough sleep!
To focus during the test, nothing is more important than getting enough sleep. You do not want to be tired during the exam. According to ABC News, more sleep can lead to better memory.
