Swearing in the next generation of ASB officers

Caroline Gibbon- President
Q: What encouraged you to run for this position?
A: I ran for this position because I absolutely have loved my experience on ASB and love our school as a whole. It was my hope that I would be able to extend my passion for leadership not only to juniors but our entire school.
Q: What are your goals for next year?
A: My main goal is to see more people involved in all things at Woodbridge. I believe that participation in events is crucial to making any school experience great, so I would love to see students cheering on other Warriors all year long!
Q: What are your plans to accomplish these goals?
A:I can accomplish these goals only with the help of my fellow ASB members and of course our student body’s support! Without everyone’s help nothing could happen, so everything relies on teamwork.

Logan Prock – Vice President
Q: What encouraged you to run for this position?
A: I have been involved in class council and ASB for the past three years at Woodbridge, and I can’t imagine life without it. I have learned so much about how to serve our school, and I have met so many wonderful people.
Q: What are your goals for 2016-2017 school year?
A: I am looking forward to continuing our classic events, but I truly wish to expand on them and come up with brand new ideas. I want to create activities that every student on campus would want to come to and enjoy themselves.
Q: What are your plans for accomplishing these goals?
A: I will accomplish these goals through creative brainstorming. If we put all of
our minds together and work through potential problems, I think we can do anything we set our mind to, as cheesy as that is.

Elizabeth Dahl- Activities Commissioner
Q: What encouraged you to run for this position?
A: I ran for activities because I really love all the events that Woodbridge has like Homecoming, Air Guitar and the spring dance, and I wanted to be a big part of planning all of those.
Q: What are your goals for 2016-2017 school year?
A: I want to have an awesome Homecoming that brings our whole school together, because that is definitely our biggest event all year. I also want to make sure that all the events are open to everyone so that no one feels left out.
Q: How can you accomplish your goals?
A: I hope to get some more student input on what events they would like to see on campus so that they know their voices and suggestions are being heard!

Guillermo Mier y Teran – Boys Sports Commissioner
Q: What encouraged you to run for this position?
A: I was strongly encouraged to run for ASB since before high school. I know what it’s like to play sports in high school, and so I want to represent and support others who do the same.                                                                                                                                Q: What are your goals for 2016-2017 school year?
A: My goals for this upcoming school year are that I want to increase school spirit on campus and on the fields or courts, I want to make sure everyone feels involved, and I want to bring more attention to the athletic activities that don’t receive as much consideration as they deserve.
Q: How can you accomplish your goals?
A: The main aspect to boosting Warrior spirit is to show how great the Warrior Tribe is. I will encourage all of the student body to support our athletes by showing up to games and cheering them on, or even wishing them good luck on campus.

Mia Ajiro – Girls Sports Commissioner
Q: What encouraged you to run for this position?
A: I was encouraged to run for girls sports commissioner because, as a student athlete
myself, I felt as if I had a real connection with all the student athletes here on campus.
Q: What are you goals for 2016-2017 school year?
A: My goal is to have better school spirit that will spread out throughout the school. I would like to reach out to everyone at this school whether an athlete or not and be able to get more support for the athletes here on campus who play the sport they love. I I think all the dedication put on the field can be just as rewarded as they should in a classroom.
Q: What are your plans for accomplishing these goals?
A: I hope to create initiatives to promote games during the year that will draw students’ attention and want to come support their fellow student athletes and create a huge student section at every game.
