Alyssa Crosby, Sophomore
“I like singing because it’s a way to escape from yourself as a person— you forget about your own personal issues and insecurities and you just lose yourself in the song. Performing too, especially because you can pretend you’re someone else and you can pretend everything else doesn’t exist. I’ve been in choir since 5th grade and I can’t imagine a life without choir— it’s become a fundamental part of my life since it’s not a regular class that everyone else is in. There all these people with different backgrounds and personalities and you all come together through music. Improving my range is something I’d like to do, maybe try to write something of my own. I’d like to inspire others one day,” sophomore Alyssa Crosby said.
