“My grandmother was a teacher and when I was three or four years old, I wrote that I wanted to be a T E C H E R because she was a teacher, like I spelled it wrong [on purpose] and then when I was in college, I was actually studying for engineering and ended up switching to teaching. So I’ve kind of always helped my classmates or the people around me with math and it just kind of worked out,” cheer adviser Kathryn Rush said.
