Students “glow crazy” at last traditional pep rally of the year

Class councils’ impressive neon decorations stood out in the cool purple glow of the black lights, and students buzzed to their respective grade’s side of the gym. The spring “Glow Crazy” theme did not disappoint on Friday as the last traditional pep rally of the year.

“It was a great last pep rally,” senior Ellie Feinerman said. “There was such great energy and it was really cool to see everyone involved in their glow clothes.”

Seniors Alex Popovski and Jennifer Borland enthusiastically hosted, which included an outstanding and playful performance from percussion.

“[Percussion] was really good, and I was impressed at how well they played,” senior Jillian Cizynski said.

The 80s-themed spring sports preview introduced golf, baseball and lacrosse’s upcoming seasons.

A touching performance from color guard to an orchestral cover of “Secrets” by OneRepublic was enhanced by their dazzling and colorful jeweled uniforms.

The spring Sadies dance promo featured senior Kayla Djen dancing in accordance to the “Glow Crazy” theme.

Class councils from each grade also performed, with freshmen as ocean themed, sophomores as zombies, juniors as jungle themed and seniors in tron-like uniforms.The pep rally closed with the Aloe Blacc concert recap.

“Color guard and percussion had great performances,” senior Daniela Georges said. “That was the highlight of the pep rally, being able to see different parts of the school’s extra-curricular activities.”
