Make them real
As I progress in my last year of high school, I have tried my best to live by the saying, “If you do one thing, do it well.” In other words, “Don’t let your dreams be dreams,” as said by Shia LaBeouf.
I picked up playing the guitar about a year ago, having previously thought it too hard to play and too intimidating to start. However, taking the small step of learning four chords and being able to play a couple songs was enough motivation for me to practice relentlessly. Something that seemed like an unconquerable task that I could not even think about accomplishing was suddenly within my grasp, just by the simple act of effort and hard work.
So do not put activities off until some unspecified time. Read that book in the free time you have instead of sleeping that extra hour. Go to that restaurant and eat that dessert you have been dreaming about instead of dismissing it. We only have one life to live, so it is best we live it to its fullest extent and do everything with a sense of purpose and passion.
