“Figure skating has been a part of my like for seven years. I was skating six hours a day, six days a week, but it wasn’t enough. Figure skating is such an intricate and precise sport and it was difficult to keep up. My role model is Yuna Kim because she was such a consistent skater and I aspired to be just like her, but as I got older, I realized this wasn’t my path. It was the hardest thing I ever gone through, but I’m glad I did it because it opened me up to other opportunities including dance,” sophomore Esther Kim said.
